Oanda Accounts Will No Longer Be Supported

Guys, we’ve been waiting patiently for about a year now to receive an API from Oanda which will allow us to solve the expiring connection issue and remove any existing errors. Unfortunately, we haven’t received it and we’ve also been notified by Oanda that the current method we use to connect to Oanda accounts will stop working on January 31st (due to changes on their side).

We apologize for any inconvenience this is causing you, but there’s nothing we can do at this point. Myfxbook will no longer support Oanda accounts starting from January 31st.

There is no time frame on when they will complete the API, so any questions regarding this topic, please ask Oanda directly.

Thank you,

The Myfxbook team.

Update – Oanda will be supported through their MetaTrader platform.

  1. We’re sorry to hear that 🙁
This is not up to us but up to Oanda to provide the API as soon as possible so we can implement it.

  2. Very sad news 🙁 I will send them a complain.

Is the information stored already from our Oanda accounts be kept like any other inactive account?

Thanks for the good work guys 🙂

    Regards,
    Aimak

  3. Sorry to hear that, hope to have some good news from you in the future if oanda get a move on. Thanks.

  4. Well, all Oanda users who feel strongly about this should complain, politely but firmly, to Oanda and let them know your view. If enough people complain they’ll be compelled to change their minds.

  5. Oanda was getting worse day by day during last 2 years…

    I already switched to MT4…

Anyway like girls say “size matters”… in our case “standards matter”

    Oanda is too closed…

  6. This is a real shame – just started using myfxbook last month and have already found it to be a very useful tool for focussing on my performance, especially as OANDA has no such tools themselves. I will be encouraging them to provide an appropriate API and hope that I will be back at myfxbook again soon. In the meantime, I wish you guys well and thank you for the service.

  7. also complained. They don’t have anything alike myfxbook stats. So if i don’t mind sharing a link to my trading history why should they?

  8. Man. This is a real shame. I like Oanda. And I like MyFxBook. This site was a happy marriage between the two.

    Much unhappiness here.

I complaint to Oadna. Some how I doubt they care though.

  9. In an effort to give our clients full control of their accounts and data, we are currently working on introducing a new API. The original fxTrade API is considered the best in the industry. This new API was created for users (fxTrade and fxTrade Practice) who wish to securely and efficiently connect with third parties while also specifying who and what types of access you choose to provide (read only, trade enabled, etc.)

OANDA recognizes the need to share trading information with various levels of access and once this is new API is launched you will see increased access to OANDA accounts with most third party sites of interest, including myfxbook and without any fees associated with these particular API connections.

We hope your find that this new API functionality is worth the wait and apologize for the inconvenience in the meantime.

Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions.

  10. I am really very disappointed for the news! I love to use myfxbook. It is very useful. Sad…

  11. Well, it was nice when as long as it lasted. Sort of like my marriage.

Oanda has stopped supporting my current account and in order to get MetaTrader to work I need to create a new account. Needless to say, I am not to happy about this.

Also, the new MetTrader will only support lots v. units.

So instead of waiting until things further deteriorate like my marriage did, I’m thinking of bailing before things get much worse.

Face it, if a company you start trading with keeps deteriorating their service over time, you should face up to it, that they really don’t want customers.

I currently have both real and demo accounts with OANDA, and their service thus far has been good. However this taking away the ability to track accounts arbitrarily disturbs me greatly.

  12. I’ve been using Oanda and Myfxbook for a while now and they work great together.

We would really appreciate it if the required API for Oanda to work with Myfxbook will be available as soon as possible.

Please keep us informed as to when this will be made.

    Thanks

    Great work!
